Where the numbers come from
Areas and volumes follow geometric formulas. Consumption figures for mixes, adhesives and fixings are typical values printed on packaging; you can replace them with the figure from your own bag.
Limitations
These calculators work out quantities for dimensions you already have. They do not replace a design: foundation depth, insulation thickness and structural sections come from an engineer's calculation for your site and loads.
